Example of direct carbide milling with PCD end mill
A special polycrystalline diamond (PCD) with high abrasion resistance is used as the base material for the tip. This was subjected to electrolytic abrasive grain polishing, a patented, special cutting edge processing technology developed jointly between Kyowa and the Akita Industrial Technology Center, successfully providing a smooth cutting edge.
The result is the successful development of end mills suited for carbide machining from semi-finishing to final finishing.
